The ring takes its shape from an open band holding two small stones, one at each end, left just apart, drawn from the ancient Greek custom of the symbolon, a single object broken in two and given to those parting ways across the sea, one half kept by each, so that whoever carried it could be recognised as kin or ally by whoever held the matching piece, even generations later and oceans apart. In Green Tourmaline and Aventurine, the two ends hold a shared, muted green, close in tone but never quite matching until brought together, while Peach Moonstone & Smoky Quartz carry a warmer variation, one pale and one deep, and Strawberry Quartz & Rose Quartz hold the softest reading of the same idea, both blushed but never identical alone. Pairbound holds that same ancient promise of recognition across distance, two halves carried on separate paths, worn as proof that whatever the sea puts between two things, it cannot undo what once fit together.

Our gold jewelry is hand-crafted in 18K gold on brass. To avoid oxidization of the gold plating, avoid extended direct contact with water, cleaning solutions and perfumes. For best care, store your jewellery in the provided original packaging.
