The earrings take its shape from a ridged scallop shell set above a single rectangular drop, drawn from the Samudra Manthan, the churning of the cosmic ocean by gods and demons using the serpent Vasuki as a rope, a process that released treasures from the depths one by one, among them Varuni, goddess of wine and abundance, who rose from the water fully formed, along with the conch shell Panchajanya, said to sound loud enough to be heard across all directions once it was finally freed from the churning sea. In Peridot, the drop holds the bright green said to have marked the ocean's waters as they yielded their treasures, while Moss Agate carries a deeper, more textured green, the churned depths themselves just before something valuable surfaces. Varuni Conch holds that same moment of emergence, shell and stone together marking what the ocean gives up when it is stirred long and patiently enough, a small share of everything that rose from the churning.

Our gold jewelry is hand-crafted in 18K gold on brass. To avoid oxidization of the gold plating, avoid extended direct contact with water, cleaning solutions and perfumes. For best care, store your jewellery in the provided original packaging.
