The disc takes its shape from the great bronze statue of Helios that once stood at the harbour of Rhodes, its sunburst face echoed in the medallion's radiating lines fanning out from centre to edge, built by sailors as an offering to the sun god after they survived a long siege of their island, the statue said to have watched over every ship that passed into the harbour beneath it. Garnet, set square at the centre, holds the deep red of bronze catching late sun, warm and fixed at the point all the rays lead back to, while Green Onyx carries the quiet sea green of the harbour waters the statue once stood above, calm beneath a fixed and watching sun. Solar Seal holds that same sense of a fixed light kept close to the body, a small sun set in gold, still marking safe passage the way it once did for ships sailing beneath it into harbour.

Our gold jewelry is hand-crafted in 18K gold on brass. To avoid oxidization of the gold plating, avoid extended direct contact with water, cleaning solutions and perfumes. For best care, store your jewellery in the provided original packaging.
