The earrings have been shaped like a small round bud opening into a larger teardrop bloom, drawn from the Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram, its granite towers rising directly against the tide and long rumoured to be the last of seven such temples once strung along the same coast, the other six said to have slipped beneath the sea over the centuries, glimpsed briefly by fishermen after a tsunami pulled back the water and revealed old stone walls before the sea closed over them again. In Emerald Doublet, both stones hold that same weathered granite green, the round bud catching the temple's shaded inner chamber and the larger drop opening into its full silhouette against open water, while Hessonite offers a warmer variation, gold edged green suggesting the same stone lit by a setting sun. Boulder Bloom holds that same sense of one structure standing where six others sank, a shape unfolding the way the last temple still opens toward the sea each evening, worn close to the ear as a small, lasting piece of shore that held its ground.

Our gold jewelry is hand-crafted in 18K gold on brass. To avoid oxidization of the gold plating, avoid extended direct contact with water, cleaning solutions and perfumes. For best care, store your jewellery in the provided original packaging.
